And maybe the occasional breakfast here and there

We are 3 "more mature" brothers passionate about motorbikes and exploring new scenic routes while seeking out rural locations serving good coffee/tea and cake! We search Hampshire, Berkshire, Surrey, Sussex, Wiltshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire for great country roads. We really do have beards and really are brothers!

A little trip through a bit of Hants Berks, Wilts and Oxfordshire. Brekkie at the Shack then across to Marlborough for Coffee at Polly's. Back via Wantage and across to Theale - Fabulous scenery!

Exploring the gap 18/08/2025

We noticed a little gap on our "where we've been" map so went to explore! A bit of Oxfordshire, Berkshire and Hampshire. Found a new liitle coffee spot - Honesty in Inkpen.

Tea and cake heaven 12/06/25

A short trip to Brick's for breakfast then an amble to Amberley tea rooms for an absolute delightful discovery. Finished with a coffee at the ever consistent Gartons in Midhurst

Lovely trip up to Wantage stopping at the lovely Goring and Streatly for a late brekkie at Viv's Cafe and on to the Teashop by the canal in Newbury for a pot of afternoon tea. And Cake!

This was an absolute joy. Out through Hampshire and into Wiltshire on a cracking Autumn day. A lovely route through changing countryside to Three Daggers Farm shop for a bacon roll and a cuppa.

Breakfast at the departure lounge followed by a little tour round the highways and byways of Hampshire ending up at Newlyn's farm for tea and, of course, a little cake!

A run out for a nice lunch at Highdown in Worthing then a stop at Garton's on the way back for coffee and, of course, cake!

A breakfast run to the Jackaroo Cafe at Thruxton Race circuit followed by a run home via The Polly Tearoom in Marlborough. The Lone Ranger breakfast was huge which left no room for cake at Polly's. Only Dave who had a meagre normal full English found room for cake. Unfortunately the Black Forest Gateau Mountain was too much for him - see gallery for evidence!

A round trip out to the BUSTARD TEA ROOMS in Shrewton Wiltshire. A warm welcome from the lovely ladies running it and a proper pot of tea with a generous slice of home made cake. We'll be back!

Down and up 03/03/2024

Met up for brekky at the departure lounge and after a good full english set off in the sunshine for the seaside! Down through the Hampshire countryside to the seafront at Hayling Island for a cuppa. Came back up through a soggy West Sussex countryside planning on a stop at Billy's on the roadside but it was shut when we got there, so headed up to Dave's for a well earned beverage. The cappucino was as good, if not better than anywhere on the road and he didn't charge us a penny!

Down and around 10/02/24

Rescue mission to our dear old mum who was having laptop issues. Decided a bike rapid response was required so took a nice leisurely route via the Old Forge Tearoom in Hambledon. This was recommended to me by Fi Stirton from 3 Counties Bikers - thanks Fi!

Three Counties 6/1/24

This one started with a Full English breakfast at The Shack cafe on the A30 at Hook. This was unanimously agreed on as being essential to maintain core body temperature in the cold and wet conditions - it's tough being an intrepid adventurer! After a second cuppa (just to be sure) we hit the soggy roads down to The Tea Barn at Durleighmarsh near Petersfield. Great coffee and the best Bakewell Tart that we can remember. A hard choice this was due to the wonderful choice of homemade cakes on offer so we will have to make a return visit!

Breakfast run 25/11/23

A little run out for Breakfast at The Departure Lounge followed by a compulsory coffee stop at Coffee #1 in Alresford. There is a chance we may have sampled their cakes.

Hants and Berks 11/11/23

A sausage sarnie at Jace's before winding our way down through a bit of Hampshire then up through Berkshire to a lovely remote oasis called Priscilla's Kitchen at East Garston. Shared the parking space with Horses, cyclists and cars then enjoyed a fine pot of tea with a light lunch followed by some compulsory cake!

Coffee and cake with a view 16/9/23

We met up at one of our favourite locations - Gartons in Midhurst and took a ride along the A272 to Petersfield and then a little loop south to take in the views from Butser Hill off the A3. Luckily, there is a cafe at the top of the Hill so we sat on a bench taking in the view and topped up the cake intake with a brownie of flapjack or similar low calorie morsel. This is where the photo of us looking like Compo, Clegg and Foggy was taken by a Lady we didn't know who thought we were sweet!

Up and down 13/8/23

This ride took us out through lovely villages of Berkshire and Oxfordshire to Annie's Tea room at Thrupp in Oxfordshire. Annie's is in a lovely setting by a canal Lock serving home baked goodies in a tranquil location. From there we went a short hop to Huffkins in Witney for a Cappucino and Cake stop and then down to Newbury, via the glorious B4494 out of Wantage, to the Teashop by the canal.

Hants and Wilts 6/8/23

This ride took us out through some of our favourite countryside to The Polly Tea rooms in Marlborough Wiltshire, which happens to also be one of our favourite cake and pastry purveyors. Good tea and a wide range of naughty cakes so sometimes we have to have two!

Wonderful proper tea leaves served in a pot needing a tea strainer like the old days. The addittional pot of hot water was essential for the second cup, which was as good as the first - not weak as piss cos you've added water!
